Transportation Design - Work Experience (Milan)

Aiming to provide the Master trainees with a real working context, by simulating team work of a professional office equipped with the most innovating computer tools.

The Master aims to be an experimental lab. For each Course edition, a Style Centre orders a project to develop a concept car from the Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin. Students from all over the world, confront and collaborate to perform this project, as a truly work team, dealing with all processing phases and problems of a style centre, until they perform a 1:1 scale model.

Through the project development, the trends relevant to exterior and interior designs, the ergonomics, the vehicle architecture will be studied; moreover, the technical skills (Multimedia Design, Rhino, Alias, Modelling Clay, Rendering) will be deepened and the class will be stimulated for a careful market analysis during the briefing phase and an accurate preparation of the presentation supports.

In the process of developing the project many of the issues relating to aspects of ergonomics, vehicle architecture, exterior and interior design will be discussed and particular emphasis will be placed on improvement of technical abilities (Multimedia Design, Rhino, Alias, Modelling Clay, Rendering).

There will be also a market analysis and a great deal of care will go into the preparation of the presentation materials.

Internship is guaranteed for all students.

Every year, the Master is coordinated by one of the best designers of the top car style centres.
