Barbara Dordi

Moving On

Echoing rooms
boxes stacked and labelled
Bare shelves
knowledge pending beneath brown tape
Blank pictures
haunt the walls in frames of dust
A skeleton
this home that once was.

At the end
it will be like this
Our children’s turn
to pack us away
Which belongings
lovingly wrapped
Will survive
their sorting?

George Cojocaru

Barbara Dordi

Un nou inceput

Camere pustii
mormane de cutii etichetate
Rafturi goale
informatii scurgandu-se din banda de magnetofon maro
Fotografii albe
bantuie peretii in rame de praf
Un schelet
e asta casa ce traia candva.

La sfarsit
va fi astfel
Copiii nostri se vor intoarce
sa ne impacheteze
Care din lucrurile
ambalate cu dragoste
Vor supravietui
selectiei lor?
