Moving On

Echoing rooms
boxes stacked and labelled
Bare shelves
knowledge pending beneath brown tape
Blank pictures
haunt the walls in frames of dust
A skeleton
this home that once was.

At the end
it will be like this
Our children’s turn
to pack us away
Which belongings
lovingly wrapped
Will survive
their sorting?

Plecare

Ecou de camere
rasuna printre teancuri de cutii etichetate.
Rafturi goale,
cunoasterea sigilata sub linii adezive asteapta.
Portrete albe
isi preling fantomele in rame prafuite
A mai ramas scheletul
din ceea ce a fost un camin.

Intr-un sfarsit
va fi la fel si pentru noi
In ziua cand copiii nostri
ne vor pregati plecarea.
Oare ce amintiri
gingas impachetate
Vor supravietui
marii alegeri?
